What you agree to when you use Corkboard
These terms cover the Corkboard iPhone app and this website. Last updated September 8, 2026.
1. Who can use Corkboard
Corkboard is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Parents and caregivers may add information about their own children (names, birthdays, allergies, and the like) to share with people they trust. Children may not create accounts.
During the beta, access is by invitation. We may limit, pause, or expand access at any time.
2. Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under it. Give us accurate contact information so we can reach you about your account.
3. Your content
Everything you post in Corkboard (photos, messages, events, recipes, lists, notes, recommendations) is yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, back it up, and show it to the people you've chosen to share it with, so that the app works. We don't use your content for advertising, and we don't sell it.
Only share things you have the right to share. That includes photos of other people's kids: if a parent asks you to take one down, take it down.
4. House rules
Corkboard is for small groups of people who know each other. Don't use it to harass, threaten, impersonate, or stalk anyone; to post anything illegal, hateful, or sexually explicit; to spam; or to scrape, probe, or interfere with the service. Anyone in a group can block or report someone, and we can remove content or accounts that break these rules.
5. Invitations and guests
Hosts can send invitation links to people who don't use the app. Guests who RSVP from a browser agree to these terms for that visit. Hosts decide who sees a guest list; guests should assume the host can see their reply.
6. It's a beta
Corkboard is early software. Features will change and some will break. We may need to reset or migrate data as we grow, and we'll warn you first when we can. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.
7. No warranties, limited liability
Corkboard is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for anything that happens between members offline. If we are found liable for something, our total liability is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (which, during the beta, is nothing).
8. Ending things
You can delete your account at any time (see the delete account page for how). We may suspend or end accounts that violate these terms or that put other members at risk. If we ever shut Corkboard down, we'll give you a reasonable chance to export your data first.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll post the new version here and let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use Corkboard after that means you accept the new terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Corkboard is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
