How can we help?
Two of us make Corkboard and answer the mail ourselves. Send a note below or email hello@thecorkboard.app.
Common questions
How do I get Corkboard?
Corkboard is in a private beta for iPhone, delivered through Apple's TestFlight. We add groups by hand, a few at a time. Ask the friend who told you about it to pass your name along, or request an invite here and we'll email you when there's room. Once you're in, the getting started page walks you through setup.
Is it free?
Yes. Corkboard is free during the beta, and there are no ads and no in-app purchases.
Is there an Android or web version?
Not yet. Corkboard runs on iPhone only. Guests can still RSVP from a browser on any device.
Do my guests need the app to RSVP?
No. Every invitation has a link you can text or email. Anyone can open it in a browser, say yes, maybe, or can't, add headcounts, and answer your questions without downloading anything or creating an account.
Who can see my stuff?
Only people in your Corkboard group. There are no public profiles, and search engines can't see anything inside the app. Some things are narrower still: your address, your kids' details, and your calendar are shared friend by friend; your circles are private to you; and you choose who can see your location posts and each event's guest list. The privacy policy spells out the details.
How do I invite a friend?
Open the Friends tab, tap the add-person button, then choose Invite friends to send a text or email from your own phone. Once they've signed up, send them a friend request, then add them to your circles or groups.
How do I block or report someone?
Open the person's page and use the menu to block them. Corkboard doesn't tell them they've been blocked. They can no longer see your profile, address, kids, calendar, location posts, or anything you share friend to friend, and you won't see their messages. Things posted to a shared group stay visible to everyone in that group. You can review and unblock people under More, then Privacy & Safety. To report someone, use the same menu (or email us) and we'll look into it right away. More on the safety page.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email hello@thecorkboard.app from the address on your account, or use the form on this page, and we'll delete your account and the data tied to it. You can ask for a copy of your data first. The delete account page lists what goes and what stays.
Something looks broken. What should I tell you?
The screen you were on, what you tapped, what you expected, and a screenshot if you have one. The iPhone model and iOS version help too. Beta builds change often, so include the build number TestFlight shows.
