Getting started

Setting up takes about ten minutes

Corkboard is in a private beta on iPhone. Once we've added your group, setup takes a few screens. Only your name is required, and you can skip adding kids and do it later from your profile.

  1. 1

    Install the beta

Corkboard ships through TestFlight, Apple's app for betas. On your iPhone, install TestFlight from the App Store, then open the invite we emailed you. TestFlight installs Corkboard and keeps it updated as we ship new builds.

  2. 2

Open Corkboard and create an account with your email and a password. Use the email your friends already have for you, so any event invitations they sent to that address before you joined show up on your first day.

  3. 3

    Fill in the basics

Name, a photo, and, if you want, your phone number, address, and birthday. Then add your kids: first name, school, what they're into. Only people in your group can see any of this, and you'll choose per friend who sees the address and the kids' details.

  4. 4

    Find your friends

On the Friends tab, tap the add-person button. Pick people from your contacts (Corkboard matches them on your phone and uploads nothing) or browse the people already in your group. Send a request. Once they accept, you can adjust what they see from their page.

  5. 5

    Look around

Home shows what's on today, and Live shows who's out. You make plans in Events, Calendar, and Chats. Local is the board for things happening around town, and Activities is for the recurring stuff people already do. Memories holds the shared albums, Recipes and My Lists handle dinner and errands, and More has birthdays, recommendations, and settings.
