Delete your account
Send us the form below from the email on your account and we'll delete it, along with the data tied to it, within 30 days. We'll email you when it's done. If your build of the app has Delete account under More, then Privacy & Safety, that does the same thing.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in.
- Your profile, partner and family details, and your kids' profiles and emergency cards.
- Your messages, photos, albums, posts, polls, and comments, including ones in shared chats and albums.
- Events you created, and your RSVPs to other people's events.
- Your recipes, lists, notes, recommendations, and circles.
- Your push-notification token and any reports or blocks you filed.
What stays
- Messages other people sent, even in chats you were part of.
- Photos other people uploaded to their own albums or chats, even if you're in them. Ask them to remove one, or tell us and we'll ask. Photos others added to an album or event you created go away with it, so save anything you want to keep first.
- Server logs at our hosting providers, which they keep for a limited time.
Before you go
Want a copy of your data first? Say so in the message and we'll put one together by hand before we delete anything. If you only want to step back for a while, you can block people or mute chats in the app and keep your account.
How we confirm it's you
Send the form from the email address on your account. If it comes from a different address, we'll email the address on the account to confirm before we delete anything.
